Good Day Aurora Families:
The City of Saskatoon Allocations Department sent out an email (below) regarding COVID-19. Due to COVID-19 the city will not be approving any sport field rental requests for the months of April, May and June including and up to June 30. The City of Saskatoon’s decision of not allowing access to fields until the end of June is the determining factor affecting the outdoor season.
Saskatoon Youth Soccer and all the Zones have agreed that due to the safety of all involved, and in accordance with Saskatoon Emergency Management Organization, they have sadly decided to cancel the 2020 Outdoor Soccer season, including our very own 24th Annual Harder Avalon Classic that was scheduled for June 5-7.
Aurora Soccer will commence full refunds to all families ASAP. We ask for your patience as we work to refund over 460 players.
Saskatoon Youth Soccer will begin tentative planning for summer options pending City Parks, SSA (Saskatchewan Soccer Association) and CSA (Canada Soccer Association) approval. We will keep you posted as we get information on these programs.
At this time I would like to thank you for your great support toward the Aurora Soccer Club. We look forward to seeing you again for the 2020-2021 indoor season. Registration for the indoor season will begin in August.
We will prevail in these unprecedented times and not only enjoy soccer again but surely appreciate our freedom to watch our favourite little soccer stars!
